I purchased this fabric in a thrift store. I am trying to find out what the fabric content is. I was going to make a jumper/apron but when I searched a bit on line, these types of fabrics are in the 100's of dollars. Not sure if I want to make the jumper now.

Is it sheer? Is there anything printed on the selvedge?

Yes it is sheer and it is printed with "French Fabrics International Original Design" and that is all it says.

Hard to say since I can't touch it but I'm thinking maybe crepe de chine or a silk chiffon?

Thank you, I ironed it on a pretty almost cotton setting, and it was ok. I wish fabric companies would put the fabric content on the selvage. I have begged for this for years.

Hi, I am pretty good with fabrics and fibers, etc., but can't see enough detail in your picture to be able to help. Is it possible for you to take and post one or more higher resolution photos, so we can enlarge them and better see your fabric?

You only need a single thread to test for fibre content, you don't need a 2 inch square of fabric.

Thank you, I forgot about the burn test.
