What decade was the purse made?

This purse was purchased at an estate sale, and have noticed several Whiting & Davis purses shown on web from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.  Does the label inside of purse identify decade it was made?  The former owner had a tag on the purse that indicated it was from the 1940’s.  I
