I have this small piece and I have no idea what it actually might be. It is only 1.5" long. The centre "opal" is about .25" across. The "rings" on the arms slide from the stone to the outside; when they are in by the stone, the arms can be opened and sliding the rings back to the outside, closes the two halves of the arms. I do not know whether it is gold or just plated or some other shiny gold coloured metal. The only markings are the word "PATENT" on the under side of one of the arms next to the stone mount and at the other end of the same arm there appears to be a number but I cannot really make it out.
Can anyone tell me WHAT it is and how old it might be? It has just been lying around in a jewellery box for several years and I would really like to know what it might be. THANKS
Can anyone tell me about Hornora Pearl Necklaces? Are they good quality pearls? I know they are color treated/dyed for certain colors, but wondering if they're worth the investment and can appraise at a higher price than what I would pay for them? They look nice, but still learning about them. Any info. would be appreciated.
