2017 GOTTA MAKE MONEY SUPPORT GROUP Second Quarter!

Woot!  Here we are with a chance to make a fresh start....brush the cobwebs off your old listings and your old mindsets and let's go!  We're a group of eBay sellers who enjoy talking about our great finds, good sales, and life in general.  We welcome newbies and lurkers, and promise we don't bite!

THIS IS THE SECOND QUARTER THREAD AS WE'VE ALREADY GOTTEN TO 700 ON THE ORIGINAL THREAD!  GLAD TO SEE YOU HERE!

Here are our best ideas, culled from years of selling experience:

1) LIST IN A VARIETY OF FORMATS - Try some regular auctions, auctions with Buy it Now, Fixed Price, and Fixed Price with Best Offer---try some with free shipping too. Not only will you get a better idea what works for YOU, but you'll offer buyers a variety of buying options.

2) OPTIMIZE YOUR LISTINGS – By using the free Terapeak Keyword app (find it in the Applications tab), practice how to take better photos, change the keywords on your listing titles regularly, change the opening blurb in your store header every now and then, and experiment with price changes UP as well as DOWN! Run Sales on a regular basis with the Markdown Manager and also learn how to set up Promotions on your Store listings for better visibility.

3) DON'T LET YOUR UNSOLD LISTINGS LAY AROUND - Check your My eBay page and click on Unsold...get those relisted ASAP! You've already done all the work, so be sure they're available to buyers. More listings = more bait in the water = more bites. 😄

4) OPEN A STORE - If you are wondering whether you are better off with a BASIC store or a PREMIUM store, figure that if you have over 250 store items, Premium is a better buy....under 250, Basic is....this is at least a rule of thumb to get you started. Stores used to be great places to put items and keep them available year round, but with the fee changes, maybe not so much - sit down and figure it all out.

However, there are at least four really good reasons to have a store.... 1) listing fees are less if you have a store, 2) your items can be separated into categories making it much easier for buyers to shop, 3) you can run Promotions and Markdown Manager sales. They are two different ways to generate sales!, and 4) you can put your store in vacation mode when you need to get away for a bit.

5) DEAL WITH BIDDERS, BUYERS, AND ANNOYING INQUISITIVE POTENTIAL BIDDERS IN A PATIENT AND FRIENDLY WAY - Remember that it's worth money in your pocket and it's good business sense to show respect to all. If you must, write up that snarky reply, laugh at it, then hit delete.

6) KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE! This thread is all about MAKING MONEY, that's for sure, but we feel that being supportive of our Lister Sisters and Brothers helps ALL of us. Drop in and hang out! Venting is allowed, but take it easy on the drama, negative vibes and controversial, off-topic issues such as politics and religion.

Hi Debbie!  Great to see you!  I do my own international shipping, personally, but some of the Chicks here swear by the global shipping program in that you just send it to one place and let THEM deal with it.

Hi Pinkee!  Hmmmm, I don't know anyone in Tucson but I think calling the paper is a good idea….bet they have back issues they'd send you, especially i you explain it's for a play.  Also I think if you'd post on the Tucson C-List, you could probably get someone to send you some free if you pay postage.

I thought it was going to be sunny today, but still cloudy.  Since that's not good photo weather, I'll go ahead and start with cleaning the guest room.  It's clean, I just mean getting out fresh sheets, etc.  I decided a few months ago to not keep any ebay stuff in there anymore because any time I want to use that for company, I have to haul it all out again.

Storms rolling in tonight... perfect sleeping weather! And tomorrow the high is only supposed to be 66 degrees! Yea! We get a bit of a repreive before the heat of summer sets in. 

Ebay sales been steadier than usual. However a large return was started tonight. Bummer!

We're getting much needed rain this morning, but I'd sure like at least a short sunny patch so that I could take label pictures!  I made a HUGE effort yesterday and cleared 2 racks that have been up here outside the living room.....I photographed every one of them (including a BUNCH of menswear I'd been ignoring) and have almost all of them ready to launch except I'd like to have the third photo already in there rather than going back later and adding it.

I see you're looking at some possible flooding, Olive, so hunker down!  

Man, woke up in the middle of the night with my ears plugged up (the laryngitis finally became a head cold) and HURTING like I was 45,000 feet in the air.  Couldn't clear 'em.  Now that I'm up and drinking coffee, there's been some good (though not total) progress with plenty of crackling and popping and much more comfortable.  I was supposed to meet my friend, Konnie, for breakfast, but cancelled.   We'll get together soon.

Hooray for company coming---making me clean house and get organized!  Besides, we love these people....our Maine friends who used to live here.  They'll have a great time.  They get to see so many friends while they're here.

Someone please send me some sunshine?!  Thanks!

We don't ever have to worry about flooding, unless God decides to flood the earth again! We are up high, the peeps in the valleys, or by streams, which turn into raging torrents after a lengthly ownpour... they have to worry about possible flooding.

Thanks, Chicks!   Well my ear is about 50% clearer than yesterday.   Went to a ukulele concert last night and the sound was great. So glad we went!  Jake Shimabokuro (sp??) is a young Hawaiian and killer player.  Ran into friends there. 

Today is the end of my long weekend, so gotta hop on it!!  BBL

Hi Ladies,

Just got back from the oncologist and the report was excellent. The PETscan showed no evidence of further cancer. It did show that I have kidney stones, none showed on the PETscan 8 months ago, so maybe it has something to do with the chemotherepy? Anyway, it was a good birthday present, and it was great to see my Mother's look of relief on her face when the Doctor told us that all was good & to come back in 3 months for a check up.

Hi everyone,

This man had six Ag dolls on Friday. I spied them in his cart. I told two of the "mothers" of the gwo. We surrounded him. Lol. I hollered,

"You are not leaving the store with those dolls."

He gave up four of them.

My bf's brother sent me a txt msg saying he loved all the clothing I sent him. ♡♡♡

So, everytime I parked my car a few drops of water come out. I told my father he looked and it was from the radiator. Remember, I said I bought it new? I couldn't find my original receipt, but Autozone pulled up my information using my phone number and I just need to return the damaged one. What a relief, i am saving $100. So glad i did not buy that radiator from Crazy Ray's/Lkq. It was only a $20 difference. Sometimes, i buy old car parts and sometimes i buy new. It depends on what the part is. My father hasn't took the old one off yet, but he said I hit a rock. I thought about it and remembered that was a state worker trimming the grass on a highway I remember the rock or stone hitting my car. Dang! He says he will be able to work on it tomorrow. Just keep coolant in it. I have to go to the same location I got the last one because they are the only ones that have it in stock. The time he will take to put it on and take it off. I am going to lose at least four hours and listen to him complain. Lord, why must I suffer? Lol.

Found a vintage authentic Louis Vuitton small makeup bag for me.

My rus friend surprised me with a white Burberry trench coat and I gave her an authentic Gucci handbag. My mom always tells me those people treat you so much better than the other store.

At the flea market, I got an 925 angel watch pendant. It is my first watch pendant .I paid $5.

Glad to hear your BF's brother likes his goodies, 2good.  Wow, yeah, glad you got the radiator with the warranty!  Great finds too.

OK Everyone don't rub your eyes, it's me Beachy, I've decided to climb out of my crab tunnel & say Hi! Took me awhile to find you all, haven't really read back other than this page.. But, it looks like it's just as positive as it always was! 😉 No explanations of my time off other than I needed to! 🙂 Nothing to do with anyone of you on this wonderful thread..

We got back last Thursday from taking care of our sweet Bubba for a week while DS & DIL were at training camp. It was Heaven & just what Bill & I needed.. he is precious beyond words & if I could love someone anymore my heart would surely burst.. He calls me Grammy & Bill is PopOPs 😉

I could fill pages with the wonderful time we had together, but; the best thing we did together (Bubba & I) was watch April the Giraffe & then finally the sweet baby boy! 

As always, I need to get to dinner; but I promise that I will be back! 

A special hug goes out to Beth 🙂

Of Course we both got crummy colds in Arizona & we feel like Poo, but; we are alive & well!

Hi. Wanted you to know that DD25 is going to be on CNN tonight at 10 pm on Cooper Anderson's Town Hall program. John Kasich will be interviewed by a panel of audience members. The producer at CNN remembered her from a segment she did for them last spring while a student, called her yesterday and flew her up to NYC today to have her ask a question on the show. She is thrilled at the opportunity (and at the free trip to NYC).

HOORAY!  It's Beachy!  Welcome back, girlfriend---sounds like you had a great time with your Bubba 😄    I love PopOps, that's adorable!  So glad April obliged with a little baby for you.

I have a crazy cold too…can't imagine whose hand I shook that gave me this virus.   Some snowbird, I'm sure 😄   It's not like anything I've had.  Started with laryngitis (which is about 99% gone), but not feeling a bit sick, then started with the snottiness on Friday and major earaches/clogged ears.  Fortunately I'm feeling brighter and perkier, but boy will I be glad when my ears clear!  I'd imagine you'll hear my heartfelt groan all the way up your way…..ooooohhhhhhhhh, my ear just popped! 😄  

Hi Patty!  I know….laughed at the women ganging up on the guy with the American Girls.  Love the horse trading that goes on in that place with the regulars.  Wouldn't you love to go there with 2good??

Nope, Beachy, that was Deuce that sold all that Victoria's Secret stuff.  Wonder what ever happened with him?   Accurate is our new boy-toy 😄
