Steinhausen watch auto winders

Steinhausen makes watch auto winders from china .They all have a design FLAW in the motor gear box very similar to VCR's of yesteryear. They used a rubber drive belt inside to drive four gears. The belt heats up sublimates and gums up the gear box. Motors and electronics will be fine.  The unit will stop working. Unless you are extremely gifted tech, it will never run again, so: Dont buy this device. They need a direct drive gearing, its a gear box. Regards Don @ Eastwestphoto

very good advice about those junky winders from China. have had a couple and the circuitry has a mind of its own.

lets not forget how easy it is to confuse Steinhausen and Stauer

Even Stauer watches are garbage, lose 4 minutes/day my Black Noire 27 jewel.  dial indictors are always on the wrong day and month.  Junk design and manufacturer Stauer sucks, Don

The plastic gearbox is driven by a rubber belt inside the gearbox, gums up, destroys the device. Garbage design.
