Porcelain - Help me ID this dog planter?

I have looked everywhere and I can't find this at least not  one that is identified correctly, thanks in advance for any help.

Do you want to ID  the maker or the breed of dog (possibly a cocker spaniel)?  if maker, can you post a photo of the bottom of the piece?

Patty, yes I would like to find out the maker. If possible, will have to post a pic of the bottom in the morning, it's not marked at all,   Thanks

Looks a little like Morton Pottery. Don't have a book to check. Anybody have one? Judy
