Silver Hallmark on old fiddle back forks

I have some old fiddle back forks that I am trying to identify the marks.  These forks are marked with a woman's head inside a flower shaped stamp.  The makers mark is JD who I thought might be James Dixon but I havenlyome across his mark with the & SPhoto Feb 03, 4 30 31 PM.jpgPhoto Feb 03, 4 30 49 PM.jpgPhoto Feb 03, 4 31 33 PM.jpg for & son after it.  I have other pieces that have the same woman's head mark but the maker is FF.

These are continental. It looks like the French Minerva but with those lobes around the stamp , a bit different. Maybe find one clearer than the others and post that.James Dixon was English.

Re: Silver Hallmark on old fiddle back forks

This is the best one I could find.  It appears there is a small crescent shaped mark over the woman.s head, a letter A near her mouth and another symbol at the back of the head I cannot see.
