Please help to id this collectible pair made in Japan. White with gold. Both have dogs.

Hello,

Boy and Girl figures are made in Japan. White with gold accents. Both have terrier dogs. Boy is playing accordion and girl is holding a bouquet of flowers behind her back. As, with all items I sell, I've looked on the internet, but can't find any information. I appreciate your help. Thank You. Approx. 4" tall; White with GoldJAPANFlowers, Accordion & Dogs

You're never going to find the maker of these.  Even if you did, it wouldn't add much value, so just sell them on theri own merits.

They're not exactly Hummel knock-offs (although the Japanese did many such), but they're vaguely based on Hummel figurines.   They date from the 1950s-'60s and were popular items in Woolworth's, Murphy's, and other dime stores.
