Re: Native American Indian Pottery?

Could you show the inside and the bottom, please. Dimensions would also be helpful.

Re: Native American Indian Pottery?

Looks 18th/17th cent. possibly Sikyaki (old Hopi) but the clay looks wrong. I'll keep looking but that is a start. Definitely American Southwest pueblo though.

Re: Native American Indian Pottery?

Looking at the new pics showing the base I would say more like c1880-90 but still unsure which pueblo. All I can say is to wait for someone else to disprove or agree with what I've said.

Re: Native American Indian Pottery?

I agree with your dating, sonoma. I have been unable to attribute it to a specific pueblo but will continue to research. As a collector, I really like this pot and don't think you should be in a rush to sell it but should wait until you have more information.

Many Thanks. I am trying to be patient. When I found it  I thought it was special. It's not my typical purchase. Thanks again.
