According to Google translate the makers name is Miyaozo. Sorry can't help with the age

Is it metal? Carved wood? Play-doh? Mixed materials? Plaster? Take as many pics as you feel the responders here might deem necessary to get you an answer.

Japanese Meiji period bronze. Looks right as rain. High quality. Not easy to sell. Like everything now

And it appears that the characters on the statue are:

 

宫尾 造  Made by Miyao

 

They mean the same in Chinese and Japanese.
