Anyone know what this old Catholic doll figurine is called? It has a stiff gold embroidered robe and looks like it could be an antique. Including the base it's about 10" tall to the top of the crown.
I want to be as accurate as possible before listing it.
Thanks for your help!

Appears to be based on the Infant Jesus of Prague:

My guess would be that this is homemade. It's unusual (and a bit odd from a theological perspective) to show Christ holding a rosary.

Everything about it -- that particular wooden base, the decoration on robe, etc. -- remind me of figurines from Spain of The Infant Jesus of Prague. I saw them in the 1960s and 1970s (at the earliest). But the color green for the robe is odd.
Anyhow, if no one else comes along with better info, you might care to research along that line.

Another cross-post. Sorry. I'm fairly slow these days.

I agree about the rosary. And, as I said, the green robe seems odd, too. It could be home-made.
A Google image search on "Spanish Colonial Infant Jesus of Prague" does show several similar to this one. It's not actually that old, but there was revival of all things Spanish Colonial in the period I think this comes from.
Anyhow, the Google image search, for whatever it might be worth:

It is an estate item, so the previous owner may have added the rosary; there were actually 2 different rosaries draped around the neck, but I removed one to take the photo. Thanks very much for the links, they helped narrow it down. I never would have guessed it was Christ, I thought it represented Mary 🙂

Thanks, so it's probably vintage, not antique

That would be my best guess -- but it is only a guess. So do more research before taking my word for it. At least now I think you're headed in the right direction. Good luck with it.

Thank you! I will probably leave vintage or antique out of the description and list it using all these very helpful suggestions. You guys are great!
