Does anybody recognize this sterling maker's mark on the cap of a ballpoint pen?

This maker's mark is on the cap of a vintage ballpoint pen. No other marks could be found. Thanks for the help.

What does the rest of the lettering say, where it's disappearing out of sight around the barrel? "STERLING," or anything else?

Sterling is the only other mark on the pen.

I believe the mark is used by New England Sterling Co. of Attleboro MA. They made giftware remarkably similar to items offered by Tiffany.
