Count Egbert was a member of the court of Charlie de Great.

Stadt Itzhoe is about 351 miles distant from Landau in Rheinland.

**The previous report regarding the Abbey in Ettal Bavaria located

very close to Swiss border & this Itzhoe Stadt located in Holstein in

the North of Germany. An interesting change of locations with interesting emergency money issues. This is a great hobby and

a hobby in which folks can become educated in geography.

rather "very close to Austria". on one of the main north-south connections between Augsburg ( the Fuggers that also financed the German Emperors) , Innsbruck and then further down to Italy.

Thank you for that information! Heron was using one of the innernet map services and the map was so small it was difficult to determine what was on the 'southern border'. Someday Heron might learn how to enlarge an innernet map! Perhaps?
