26 March 2022- Greetings to all coin & token collectors, where-ever
you might be. (Note: This coin-token is NOT for sale). Yes, another coin/token with a neat name and on the River Woernitz in Bavaria Deutschland.
Coin-token is 21mm dia. - Round - Zinc - Grades XF.
(Note: This token appears to have been nickel-plated. Heron has found
no information regarding possible nickel-plating at the 'mint'. However,
if it is nickel-plated it was a super good job of plating and this coin/token
really looks XF and much better than most Zinc coins. If any coin & token collectors have any info regarding this item, please advise).
Obverse: Crowned city Coat of Arms center. COA is 3 'ears' of wheat.
Legend: STADT DINKELSBUHL 1917.
Reverse: LARGE 10 at center. (No legend or engravings).
Mint: Balmberger Prageanstaltvereinsabzeichenfabrik Nurnberg.
Issuing Authority: Kingdom of Bavaria.

1351 - promoted to Free Imperial City.
1632 - Town surrendered to Swedes during 30 Yrs War.
1802 - Annexed by Kingdom of Bavaria.
Woernitz River 'source' is Schillingsfurst Bavaria.
Length of river is 82 miles. The Woernitz flows through Stadt Woernitz,
Dinkelsbuhl, Wassertrudingen, Oettingen and merges into the Danube
(Donau) River at Stadt Donausworth.

located on a river, a nice coat of arms depicted, and a War Time
issue. A good item to be Nr. 587. And the search continues. This
is a great hobby and we just never know where an interesting item
