Turning off translation in eBay iOS App doesn‘t work

When I turn off translation in the settings menu of the eBay iOS app, it still insists on doing really bad (often incomprehensible) machine translation from English into „German“ (if you can even call it that…) of the titles in item listings. Which is terrible since my own English is much much better than your computer’s. How can I disable this stupid “feature” for good so that I can actually understand what the items are? Thanks for any help! And yes I know this has been discussed before, but I never found an actual solution.

did you manage to find a solution? This is ridiculous indeed, in French Donna Summer is "Frau Sommer" ("Femme été" in French) ... whatever ! I'm also trying to figure out how to turn off this stupid feature forever. I found a way to turn it off in the APP (smartphone) but each time I revert to the the computer, the translations start again, and there is from the computer absolutely NO option! Thank you
