If you're been cheated.

If you been cheated in a purchase on Ebay and Ebay won't help you... you can always file a case with your local police. Myself it has to be pretty serious money for that level. Of coarse you can also complain if you have a valid Complaint to the Federal Trade Comission. Get you reporting numbers and or slips.

If you're been cheated.

In cases involving auctions one can sue the other party when they fail to live up to the terms of the auction.  However, it isn't usually economically feasible to do so.  Of course, I suppose it is also possible for parties involved in fixed price item transactions to do so as well in some cases.  However, the feasibility issue would be there as well.

 

While I'm not sure filing a report with local law enforcement will produce any positive results, it is always good to have a case file number if needed.
