If you follow that link, the item listing indicates the seller had 2 items for sale, one still available ("last one"), and one sold listing. Click on the "1 sold" link to see the completed transaction was for...

$6.99

Looks like the seller raised the price after selling one, either because it's currently out of stock, or possibly in an attempt to drum up interest. If nothing else, a few folks have clicked on the link. I wonder if that skews the actual trending price statistics?

Connection with a drug cartel for money laundering?

Omnibus collections are seldom of any value but there are folks out there with way too much money and less sense than God gave a goat.

I'd like to find one of those guys myself.

No: since Amazon changed their plan with books, prices there are a bit higher. Thriftbooks, for example, will charge $5+ for a MMPB they sell for $3.59 here.

Selling prices range from $1.99 + shipping to $67.++ for the person who will never sell it because there are close to a hundred copies on line.

Plus there are 15 books in the series, so this is hardly the complete series.
