Sometimes, when a seller runs out of stock, he will raise the price of that item to an outrageously high price to make sure nobody buys it. Then, he leaves the listing "live" as a placeholder, until he can replenish stock. When he gets some more in, all he has to do is lower the price back where it was and he's back in business. BTW, doing this is a policy violation, so don't get any ideas LOL out loud.
