old account i need closed

for months I have had a issue with a old account I don't use... it has my primary email linked to it. I technically went in and did all the things to close it but Ebay hasn't done it yet. its been months. there is no money or anything due. its messing up my valid account I use. the email address linked to it is one I don't use and don't even know how to access it. I cant get ebay to correct this and I cant change valid ebay account because its still linked to old one.. how do I get this fixed???
