I looked for Local Classifieds last Spring and failed to locate the option.

The "local" link on this page leads to the regular national venue.

So instead, I used the regular national Motors venue, where the following applies:

  • Your first 6 insertions are free. That means you can relist 5 more times with $0 insertion fee.
  • If you add upgrades, like reserve price or extra photos, you pay those up front. They are non-refundable.
  • If the vehicle sells, you pay a flat finders fee (successful listing fee) of up to $125.
  • If you or your buyer backs out, the successful listing fee may be refundable (if you apply for it).
  • Vehicle listings are non-binding. That means either party can back out without penalty.
  • If you have to relist (and sellers with incomplete descriptions usually do), the same fees apply all over again.
  • If you have to list a seventh time in the same year, you move to high-volume pricing and keep that classification for life.
  • For high priced vehicles, you may want to add escrow to your payment options

However, some google research has brought me to this eBay site, which is essentially a site like CraigsList, where I did find some vehicles for sale. Since eBay owns a stake in CraigsList, I'm not sure why eBay has started their own version.

Now, the problem is if you can't find it and I can't find it, does it really make sense to list there?

You might try listing for free on http://www.ebayclassifieds.com/ for a couple of weeks, and if that doesn't pan out, then list on  eBay Motors instead.
