I sold a rather expensive item, buyer paid for the item, shipping label created and the item was mailed. The following day, ebay sends me a message saying they cancelled the order and I can relist the order without fees blah, blah, blah. How am I supposed to relist my item that has already been mailed!! Tracking number was already in the system when they cancelled the order. Now I don't have the money NOR do I have my item. Who is reimbursing me? I tried contacting the post office and it has already left the post office . What am I supposed to do?

@lurphyjohnson You can do a package intercept if it's a domestic order>

Since it's an expensive item it would be worth paying the intercept fee.

@comics-scifi-collectibles Thank you for the suggestion. I have done that, but have to just wait and cross my fingers that it gets intercepted before delivery. This has never happened before and it's very anxiety inducing. Of course it's pretty much impossible to actually get help directly from ebay.

@lurphyjohnson. In this situation there is nothing that eBay can/will do.

Follow up: The post office was able to intercept my item and it was returned to me today. The buyer needs to be refunded. Since eBay was the one who cancelled the order (not me or the buyer) what reason do I use for the refund (since eBay cancelling order isn't one of the options)
Choices:
Seller cancelled/out of stock
Buyer cancelled
Item not received
Buyer returned
Item not as described
Other adjustment
Shipping discount
I guess other adjustment as none of the others apply.

@lurphyjohnson. I would use other adjustment. I like that we have that option now with managed payments.
