can i accept a bid lower than my reserve price

If the item does not sell because "Reserve not met" you can make a Second Chance Offer to any bidder who has not opted out of receiving them at the showing amount of their bid.  They are under no obligation to accept it (only make one at a time unless you have multiple sets of clubs matching the description).

You cannot lower the Reserve to less than $1 over the showing "current bid" and if the leader's hidden maximum would meet the new Reserve it is automatically lowered to $1 under the new Reserve (but I don't think you can do even that in the last 12 hours).

A bid that is "Reserve not met" when it is placed is the exception to the general rule that any bid, even if outbid, can be the winner at the end.

So why would you pay the fee for a Reserve higher than you are willing to take,  or at all instead of just setting your Starting Price at your TRUE minimum you are willing and able to sell for at this time?
