buyer with resale tax id number

im a casual seller.  today i sold a book. the buyer paid for the book and the postage. he also sent me a message that he has a resale tax id number.

we are both in florida. the paypal transaction doesnt show any sales tax.  does this mean that i dont have to concern myself with his resale tax ID number?  i dont want to goof anything up and get a letter from the government 6 months from now. 

it would be nice if i could call ebay and ask a live person, but thats not possible.
