Buyer wants authenticity papers on pair of shoes which I bought at estate sale, she did not ask for papers or ask any questions until receiving the items , now wants to have them authenticated, whatever that means or who can do that. I have a no return policy, but told her I would return monies if got the item back as sent, was she tying to switch them? who knows. this a dumb question but, how am I to protect myself from brand named items and my responsibly of insuring them be authenticated before listing, I CANNOT BE AN EXPERT ON ALL THINGS or maybe not list these things for the hassle.

Sellers are only allowed to offer authentic items. If a buyer receives a fake item, they have buyer protection by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
They can request a return which you need to accept.

yes I understand that, how and who knows where to authenticate the item, plus you can't tell me that you can authenticate everything you sell

I sold a Dutch brand, I was always 100% sure that the clothes were authentic.
