Why is ebay killing its sellers?

Sellers are the ones paying ebay NOT the buyers, yet they are treating sellers terribly.   After years of service and always having over 99+% rating and being a top rated seller, all of the sudden we are "below standard" because of 5 "defects"over the past year  which were fruadualant buyers such as ones who returned goods they damaged or just plain changed thier mind. ( ebay now does this unfair "defect rating"  to reduce any discounts that sellers would get) Now ebay has dumped (not renewed) 60+ of my listings as well as limiting new listings.  Why are there no lawyers or consumer advocates dealing with this? this is a clear conflict of interest where ebay lowers sellers rating  so they can charge sellers more ( based   on "defective" buyers they allow to use ebay and out of control of the seller)
