Why do items that sell stay on my active list as Out of Stock?

Lately the items I have for sale when they sell stay listed in my Active Listing but show as Out of Stock... Before they automatically ended now I have to end the item and the only option to do it is end it early and list the reason as Not for Sale anymore..
Not sure what Ebay changed that causes this so don't know what needs set to stop it..!
