Did you have a buy it now price on your auction? A buy it now price is NOT a reserve price which costs 7.5% ( max fee of $250) even if the item doesn't sell.
The Buy It Now price is for buyers to "Buy It Now" before bidding starts. The Buy It now price is removed in most categories after the first bid.
