Turbo Lister Catagory - Item Specifics Error

This problem recently developed. When I try to select a catagory, the Item Specifics box asks for a brand. Even when entering a valid brand I receive an error telling me some item specifics are missing. (See attached). Nothing I have found so far works, even the work-arounds people have suggested.
