Things not arriving from China

I live out in the sticks, so it's easier to order things on ebay direct from China than to buy them locally. Normally don't have a problem with this and most things arrive within 14-21 days, though occasionally longer.

However I ordered 15 things between feb 21 and march 1st and 6 of these have failed to arrive - it seems to be the cheaper ones that have gone missing, the more expensive stuff has arrived. Is there likely to be a reason for this - a container got lost in shipping or they are all stuck in customs somewhere ? Or is it just pure chance? There is still a few days left for them to arrive according to the estimated arrival dates, but it does seem strange.

I've had odd  things not arrive in the past, but this has often been when a seller has be removed by ebay, presumably for not sending them out, never a group like this before. They are all from different sellers - I ordered several different varieties of something to see which version was best for future purchases.

Any thoughts ?
