I recent revived a 1300 dollar 

tax liability as if I sold something in the last year  that I had to report to IRS.  I have not used my account to sell anything in 2 years what gives ???

If the IRS sent you a tax notice, check the year. It may be for a different year and they are just now catching up with it. If it is, you may need to file an amended tax return to show any expenses for that year that might have offset income. 

Another potential issue is identity theft. If someone has used your tax id for their own purposes, you'll need to get with the IRS. Their ombudsman program might be able to guide you.
