Suggest Ebay reps get sudo power like Amazon has...

Hi,

I am having a issue with a seller who sold me a item that said it was complete but when I received it I found that it was missing a vital unique part that is not available individually but in an expensive kit. I also discovered additional damage that was not disclosed in the ad. (I sent them 10 photos) I told seller I would have been happy if it had all parts and no additional damage. I stated that if he would do a partial refund I would be able to possibly find a machinist to build me the part and to cover the damaged parts. The seller kept denying fault. Ebay helped by opening a return case. However, I told them I'd rather get the parts. The seller said he would accept the return but would charge me for restocking and return shipping. Ebay said I would not be responsible for the cost.

Overall, I suggested to the ebay rep that they should get sudo power (like Amazon) to offer the buyer a partial/full refund if the item is not as decribed or missing parts.
