I recently sold a light fixture what I thought would be the shipping charges is much more now I don't know what to do I'm not going to ship it and loose 100 bucks and help on what I should do.

Best you can do is cancel the transaction.  Note that you may still have to pay a fee, get a strike on your account, or possibly get bad feedback.

You can not ask the buyer for more shipping $.  

 

If you can't ship it for a reasonable amount, you will have to cancel the transaction, selecting 'I am out of stock/I can't complete the transaction'.  If you send him an apologetic note, explaining your mistake, he might not leave you negative feedback.

 

You will get a seller defect, but for $100 it is probably worth it.

 

Let it be a reminder to always weigh and measure your item in its shipping materials before listing.
