Seller not shipping, I cannot use the item during my vacation.

I won a bid for an item that I purchased to use during my vacation. I planned the purchase according to the estimated delivery dates of the seller.
2 days have passed, the seller has not yet shipped and it is very improbable I will get the item by the estimated dates. As a consequence, I will not have the item to use during my vacation and I do not have time to purchase another one either on ebay or amazon.  This seller does not answer my messages and ebay sent him an email telling him that if he does not ship by Monday 10th the buyer wants to cancel the order. 

Conclusion: never buy on Ebay a short time before you need the item because you may not receive it.  
If I had bought on Amazon, I would not have had this problem. Ebay is full of sellers that don't even have what they sell and go to get it after someone purchases from them. They should not be allowed to sell on ebay. I am very disappointed. Terribly regret not buying on Amazon
