SEARCH QUESTION: Condition is erased when search field is changed.

So you search for something.  Anything.  You specify Used under Condition.  You get your results.  Then you change something in the search field.  You get different results.  But....they may no longer be just Used.  Often they include New, Seller Refurbished, Not Working ones as well.  I tried doing this in Advanced Search.  Same thing.  How can we stop this from happening or does Ebay really think that a machine knows what we want and can think for us?  

If you want to eliminate most of the garbage posting from dealers from China selling all their **bleep**, specifying Used is a great way to do it because all Chinese **bleep** is New.  Many dealers advertise under the wrong category because the wider their exposure the more they will sell.  So this is a problem on Ebay and its not going away.  Specifying the condition is one way of dealing with it.  Yes, if you select Not Specified under Condition you will get some dealers but they will be very few in number.   Using Condition is a very good tool.  But its a major hassle if you have to change it every time you change something in the search field.  

What we really need is a website that does nothing but Ebay searches.   Nothing else.  A specialist site.  Or an extension to a browser.  Something with search abilities than Ebay offers.  And a way of circumventing Ebay's horrible messaging system which has so many problems.   You can always confirm any agreement through Ebay Messaging once you've finalized something so there's a record of it for your protection.
