Returning a refunded item

I sold an item, the buyer requested a refund.  I refunded their money.  Should I get the item returned to me?

It sounds as if the Return Request process was handled incorrectly.

Did you provide a return shipping label to the buyer?

You needed to wait to receive the returned item before issuing the refund.

Since you refunded the buyer already, they are not required to return the item.

I had no idea that was protocol.  Darn it!  I may be out a really neat piece.  Wish I had known.
