When I communicate with a seller and request additional photos, they never come in high resolution. Not even an acceptable resolution. They're usually no more than 250 pixels in width. I've run into this problem many times where I request a high resolution photo, the seller complies, but eBay reduces the image files too small. Why? Is there some means to get around this problem, other than supplying externally hosted images?
I had tried "hovering" over the images but that does nothing... as that only works in the auction listing images.
However, eBay seems to have finally fixed this problem. Previously I'd had a seller double-check the image sent and they'd confirmed that they sent at moderate hi-res (1024x768), but I was getting only 640x480 and only occasionally 800x600. But lately I had an exchange with another seller and this time their images were of very decent resolution. So it appears the problem is fixed.
