Still no refund in my Paypal account

I returned an item on March 23 and was told by Ebay that on April 2nd i would receive my refund within 48 hours. Still nothing showing in my Paypal account. Why would it take so long ??

Did you pay using a credit card?  The refund will be processed through PayPal and will return to your credit card which takes several days for your bank to process.  Keep an eye on your Credit card account.

No i used a bank / debit card to pay through paypal

You can contact PayPal and ask. It is unclear whether the refund returns to PayPal with a debit card. I pay with a debit card, and all refunds return to PayPal account. Log into your PayPal account and get contact information.
