Newer seller here! The advice in the forums is to package and weigh items before listing. What confuses me is that shipping/postage costs will vary depending on where the buyer lives, which makes packaging and weighing ahead of time not an accurate number. I usually ship via UPS or FedEx so I really can't determine what the cost will be until I know where the buyer lives.
So is the advice to package and weigh items ahead of time based on using a personal postal scale at home then using the shipping calculator on eBay? How are folks doing this? Any guidance on this would be appreciated! Thanks, E.

Enter the weight and dimensions in your listing, then select calculated shipping. eBay will calculate the shipping cost for each buyer based on their location - you don’t need to figure out the price for the shipping.
