Over 12% of final sale for a book?!

It's been a while, a long while, since I've sold on eBay.  I'm thinking that I must be wrong when I looked at the final value fee for selling a book.  Am I correct?  12.2%  when selling a book?  If so, I might want to rethink listing again.  Thanks!

Yes, 12.2% is the FVF for sellers without a store subscription and NOT under Managed Payments.

Thank you.  eBay has improved things just as Amazon does regularly - never to the advantage of the seller.  I would hate to depend on either for my income.  Thanks again.

Well, there are a lot of us in Managed Payments, paying 12.55% FVF, who do depend on their ebay income.  I'm not one of them, but I am retired, who don't depend on ebay, but it does bring in some income, so what else would I be doing all day?
