I closed my ebay store (don't agree with managed payments). Can I still sell anything?

I closed my ebay store today (Feb. 15; The change becomes effective at month end). According to the confirmation email, listed items will continue until canceled, and I will be charged higher listing fees when they renew. But should I allow any of them to renew?

I closed the store because I am opting out of the ebay 'managed payment' plan. Am I right to assume that ebay will not allow me to list new items,  relist or edit existing items (in my non-compliant status), even though I no longer subscribe to a store plan?

If so, I will discontinue all ebay sales and close all remaining listings before month end.

@warrenwren   If you wish to keep selling on ebay then you MUST sign up for managed payments.  Paypal is no longer a payout option if you have been given a deadline to sign up, all sellers are being moved to managed payments by the end of the year.

As for fees they are about the same as before.    The fees are .55% less than they were before which helps make up for the fees on the sales tax.    There is no longer a separate PayPal fee of 2.9%

If the sales tax is 5.82% or less then you pay the same or a bit less in fees.  ‌‌  🙂
If the sales tax is more than 5.82% then you pay a bit more in fees.   ‌‌ 😞

The fees are charged on the total a buyer pays including sales tax.  This is normal for payment processors.  Paypal charged their fees on the sales tax too.

Since I am a TRS+ seller my fees are actually less now since they apply to the TOTAL fees that are charged.

Paypal spoiled us because they used to front the money before it cleared the buyer's funding source, Adyen the managed payments funds processor does not.

If eBay says that it's time to ship then you need to ship.  If you do not feel comfortable with this then you MUST extend your handling time.

You can use pending funds to pay for your shipping labels. The option is at the bottom of the label form.

It takes about 2 business days for the buyers payment to clear their funding source. Once the funds are available they are paid out to the ACH system. From there the money is transferred to the bank account you provided when you registered for managed payments. It can take your bank 1 to 4 days to deposit the money into your checking account. Larger banks are faster.

I have weekly payouts on Tuesdays and my available funds are paid out and in my bank by no later than 12pm on Wednesday
