I bought a misadvertised defective item, but the seller does not accept returns. How do we request a refund?

The seller's stated "no return" policy only applies to "remorse" returns, where the buyer has a change of mind.
If the item is "not as described", eBay's money back guarantee applies as long as the link appears in the item listing.
If the seller does not cooperate at any point after starting a "not as described" case, after three business days you can ask eBay to step in and refund you.
