Can seasonal unsold items be saved as templates?

If so, how?

Many unique seasonal items with detailed descriptions should be saved as templates for next season, but I can't find a way to transfer them.  

How can that be done, after listings have ended??

Even having just a few would be extremely helpful in the future!

To create a listing template, you would need to save as a template while listing. So, you might try relisting an ended item in order to create the template.

Another option for seasonal items is to keep them active, but set them as out of stock for up to 6 months. That means you would be paying (or using) a monthly insertion each month just to keep the listing around. It would not be visible in search, and could not be purchased, while out of stock. Then it can persist in unsolds for another 90 days beyond those 6 months, from which it can be relisted.
