Buyer canceled on false pretense

A buyer committed to purchase then cancelwd claiming my jewelry  was 9k gold. I don't think there is such a thing as 9k it's stamped 760 which means 18 k gold. 

How are they allowed to cancel? It's a legal commitment !

Buyers can only REQUEST to cancel.  It is up to the seller to file the cancellation.  I would go ahead and file the cancellation with the reason Buyer request.  If you go ahead and ship, the buyer can file a Returns Request for Item Not as Described, and you will end up paying return shipping.  Not worth it.
