Pocket Watches, Coins, and More

Hello Everyone! I hope this message finds you well.

Please be careful on ebay. There are many people who are untrustworthy but there are signs to watch for.

1. If you receive two or more messages asking you to sell the item just to them, it is likely worth more than you've listed it for.

2. Watch out for buyers asking you to include a current listing into the description of one of your other items and sell it that way, again, it is likely worth more than you've listed it for.

Capitalism is a dirty business. Scummy folks want a bigger boat than their neighbor, so they do all they can to make it happen. There are good people out there, but a lot of bad ones too. Please be careful and make sure you do plenty of research.

On pocket watches, always look up the movement serial number. More importantly, do a search on the case numbers. Many old pocket watches from around 1900 were gold but didn't use the standard K markings. On one particular pocket watch has a small image of hay tied together. It is 14k even though "14k" is no where to be found on the casing.

Be careful.

🙂

Ya, there are a lot of scammers out there, both buyers and sellers.

I always found it was better to stay away from items that tend to attract scammers.

Have a great day
