Please help identfy primitive antique item

Please help,

What is this?

Metal 6" Long cone shape with a screw device inside.

Top opening 1 3/4" D bottom opening 1/8"D.

Screw device is not removable.

No makers marks.

My best guess...
 
An Antique Tin Funnel Cake Maker. You would screw down the large bolt so it blocked the hole, then fill the funnel with your batter, then unscrew the bolt to release the batter over the griddle, you would then screw the bolt back to stop the flow.

My guess is for frosting cakes and such.
