Sue, Like the others I hope you will take it easy and take care of you. Diabetes alone is a balancing act (I know as I have diabetes) but with the complications you have from it I am sure it is very hard to keep it all in check. The canned garden produce sounds wonderful, nothing tastes better than home grown and canned.

My favorite diabetic resource (and healthy eating resource) is calorieking.com. you can buy the small book to take with you everywhere! The calorie king! I haven't heard of that one either. I have this great program I use on my Palm thing, it lets me enter my blood sugars and it charts them and gives me what my A1c might be. THen it has a food section, it's really neat and it can be used on a computer too. I only paid $15 for it and that was the best money I have ever spent. To check it out look on www dot diabetespilot dot com It's really surprising how many people are diabetic now. Eating healthy sure does make a difference in how you feel. yes, it is crazy. I know that cooking at home is a big key. too much processed food may be to blame. My exhusband, was a weird case. He got type 1 at 40! Cheryl, thank you I will check out that site also. I do have a program that runs from my meter on my computer, but it doesn't tell you what you A1c might be. It does let me print out graphs and a log book to take to my doctor.

Hey there, Ladies!! The kids are super fab! Chloe is 9 months old today, and quite independent. She like what she likes, wants what she wants-when she wants it! hehehehe Ryan turned 5 last month and started kindergarten. Wowzah, right?? So, we are finishing up week 2 of school, and well, I'm so proud of him. He seems to really like it, and is doing well! I started online college courses back in Feb, to work on my degree in business. WHEW!! And, we bought a fixer-upper house back in July... I am almost overwhelmed!! But, in a good way. Trying like a mad woman to get in the house by the end of the month--sure would like to be settled for the winter. *wink* Gosh, I've missed you guys. I can't wait to check out the artwork threads and catch up to what everyone has been working on. That is the best thread to sit with a big ole cuppa coffee and just wish, ya know??
