Pottery - Need help with Signature ID on Italy Planter Please

I have this Donkey with cart planter made in Italy.  It has a signature on the bottom but I do not know who this is.  I couldn't find much on Italian signatures. The planter measures 3 3/4" tall x 8" Long x 2 7/8" Wide.

I am hoping someone can help.  Any help is appreciated!  Thank you, Mary

 MMC is probably the initials of the exporter. The letters GC may represent the artist but I can't be certain. Your piece is most likely of Sicilian origin and created completely by hand. Below is a link to an article I wrote about these much loved figurines.

Can you tell me anything else about this piece?  Can you make an educated guess on the year it was made and maybe what price range? I noticed the prices for these are all over the board.  Any further input is greatly appreciated.
