We are on a path to building a stronger eBay for the future — one that is growing and resilient in the face of any challenge. Change can be perceived in many different ways. So, I wanted to take a moment to inform you of another change – a change in leadership – that change being, me.
I’m Dawn Block, the new General Manager for the U.S. market. I’m incredibly grateful to my predecessor, Adam Ireland, for his skilled and thoughtful leadership, and I look forward to building on the momentum that his team has created.
I joined eBay in 2021 and have been responsible for driving exceptional shopping and selling experiences across Fashion, Collectibles, and Home and Garden in the U.S., U.K., and Germany. Over the years, I have witnessed the transformation of eBay. Some of the initiatives I have been super involved in are the Vault and our Authenticity Guarantee program. Both experiences are built around trust; trust for the buyer and seller; trust for the eBay community entirely. Trust is what I hope to earn from eBay sellers as we begin this new journey together.
Sellers have been and will continue to be near and dear to my heart along this new journey. You are entrepreneurial. You are passionate about your businesses and the eBay community. You use this marketplace to create opportunities for yourselves and others. You inspire me.
Coming into this new role, my number one priority will be to support growth for the eBay community. With vibrant sellers comes vibrant buyers and a vibrant community and platform. I look forward to partnering with you and most importantly, listening to you. I have a great deal to learn from this community. You are the true eBay experts. Your voice matters and your feedback is valued, and it will certainly be used to evolve the eBay platform.
Buckle up for the ride ahead! We are in this together. Who knows, you may catch me bidding on a pair of your sneakers and I may catch you buying apparel from me. WE are eBay!
