You're right of course. It was a knee jerk comment. Not huge.

Would a 5.9% increase in eBay fees be "huge"?

@buyselljack2016

You bet.  USPS will raise their rates while their service gets worse.  Again, I had no delivery service on Monday & had items going out from my other sites.  Pitiful.

Re: FedEX is raising rates Jan 1, 2024

@robbie31415, our company has our own FedEx account.

I checked FedEx prices via eBay one time thinking they should be cheaper since they would have a much larger volume than our company does, but our prices were way better than through eBay.

This told me that eBay is making money off of this. They probably get a great rate, pass part of it onto the seller and pocket the rest....IMHO

I also see this on the ship your item page:

Starting in September, FedEx® and UPS® label fees will be charged to your funds at the time of label purchase instead of after the package has been delivered. Learn more about paying for shipping labels on eBay.

The hits just keep coming.

Why would you say that @fab_finds4u ?

I think this billing change is great. The delayed billing model caused a lot of confusion for sellers. Soon UPS/FedEx will be billed when you purchase the label, same as USPS.
