No More Scams Posts - Needs New Category

Reading through the rules of the board, posts about scams that occur outside of eBay Motors (regardless of how eBay is mentioned) should not be on this board.

All should be removed and the rules followed.  That includes pinning posts that reference scams.

eBay has its "Trust and Safety" department to investigate fraud on the site.

Moderators, please enforce board rules.

Re: No More Scams Posts - Needs New Category

So you want posts removed from people who honestly think they paid eBay and from people who come to verify if it's real or a scam?

Good grief.

Why not just scroll over their post?

Yeah, but he's here everyday and sees every new post or reply on this board.  Last month, today,,,, his complaint is the same.

eBay wants email claiming to be from eBay sent to spoof@ebay.com.  Since  we know that we should tell them instead of reporting the post as being inappropriate.

Re: No More Scams Posts - Needs New Category

The people who come here asking for help have been told their purchase will go through eBay.  It might seem somewhat suspicious to them, so they come here asking for help.  What harm, exactly, does it do to anyone for them to come here asking for help or advice? We are very happy to be able to warn them about scams and we are sad for those that fall for this scam and then come and inquire.

It does no damage to anyone for them to ask and us to reply.  Feel free to scroll past those messages if you wish.
